Help me with gift ideas for neighbor with diabetes...

Anonymous
I usually give cookies to neighbors, but our older neighbor next door was just diagnosed with diabetes, so I don't want to give sweet treats. Any suggestions for a holiday gift? It doesn't have to be edible, but that is what comes to mind. Thanks!

Fruit basket and wine liquor are both off the table for a diabetic.

Is a Poinsettia associated with Christmas? Or is it fine for someone who doesn't celebrate Christmas?

Nuts (if they aren't allergic to nuts).

Poinsettias are associated with Christmas. You could get another plant.

Diabetic here. Fruit is off limits alcohol can be ok in moderation. But anything can be.

Instead of a poinsettia (which is poisonous to pets and associated with Christmas) you could try a nice succulent plant.
