Hello, my family will be returning to DC in early 2018 after having been away for work and we are looking at day care options in Tenleytown for our two children, ages 2.5 years and 11 months. They are currently in a wonderful day care facility where we are (amazing directors, teachers, and fellow parents, focus on learning, beautiful space, healthy food) and we hope to find a comparable one in Tenley. Could anyone who has/has had children at St. Albans ECC please share yout thoughts about the center and any recommendations on how to get in? Anyone who knows of other options in that area, please share as well. I’d be immensely grateful.
Wonderful daycare and preschool, and well run. Donna, the director, is great. I used to have my kids there for many years and had to moved away. If I ever moved back to DC I would have my kids there in a heart beat. I would reach out to the director and see if there are any spots and next steps as soon as possible. Do not wait.

If you are going to live IB for Janney elementary you will be so happy that your kids are next door to each other.
The program is really nice. |
Thank you, both, so much. I will follow your advice and apply to St. Albans asap. And yes, we hope to live IB for Janney. Thank you again.
I loved, loved, loved the teachers and program at SAECC. Unfortunately, we moved.
We are there now. Administration is disorganized at times. They’ve made some major errors that have made me think about leaving. Heard a teacher was fired recently. 6 months ago I would have been glowing as pps are. I’m not saying don’t use it, but keep your eyes open to the downsides as well.
We are there currently and DS who is now 20 months has been there since he was 3 months. We have never had any issues. Yes, the administration can be disorganized, there was a shakeup in the classrooms a while back and teachers were swapped around, but it all worked out for the best. My son loves it there and all of his teachers have been absolutely wonderful.
Thank you. I really appreciate all the feedback and hope that we get in. I know SAECC is in high demand.
