Double Standard?

Is this a double standard?

A parent is upset you are going to your ILs for Thanksgiving, however, that same parent is not visiting with their own parent on Thanksgiving; they’ll be visiting with them on Saturday, when they plan on hosting you and your family as well.

We have a parent who is upset they’ll be “without us” on Thursday, but they are spending the day with their husbands family! Is this a double standard?
