I am 10 months pp and still ebf my daughter (she is eating food, but no formula just my milk). I just got my period back and am freaking out . I have noticed my milk supply declining the past few days.. Will it come back post period? Any thoughts advice are helpful. Thanks!

First, you’re not “ebf” if baby is eating table food. Exclusively breast feeding is just that: the only food source for baby is breast milk and only breast milk.
Your supply will adjust through your cycle. Mine came back at 6mos, and I continued nursing until 28 months. Started cows milk at 11 months. |
| Mine came back at 6 months and I am still nursing my 13 month old. You might notice your supply declines when you ovulate or menstruate but it's likely to be fine. |
| I didn't get it back until 12 months and DD was well on her way to weaning on her own so I can't say if it was my period or her lack of sustained interest that led to the decline in supply. |
| Magnesium supplements taken beginning of ovulation to beginning of period helps. |
Did you understand what I meant when I said "ebf"? Clearly you did. No need for being rude. |
| I’m on Mirena now, but I notice when my period is coming (although short/almost not noticeable), a day or two of dropped supply. I’ve been tracking my periods and it helps, as I push food and fluids to ME the days I think my supply will drop, and it helps. |
+1000, LOL. |
| Typically, a year. |
| I EBF, and got my period back \ decrease in supply right around 6 mos. when DS started eating table food. It made sense, since it was the beginning of weaning (continued to nurse until 13 mos.). |
Yes! I was still "EBFing" - by the logical definition - when my period came back and would always get a dip in supply from ovulation until my period. Calcium+magnesium supplements helped a lot. |
| Power pumping always got my supply back up for whatever the reason it dipped. You’re doing great, mom! |
