Elementary School-Aged Kids
|
My 10-year-old daughter did a needlepoint project in art and wants to take classes. I remember the place at Foxhall used to have kids' classes but they seem to have closed down. Anyone have any ideas? (preferably NW DC or Bethesda)
Thanks! |
| I used to do lots of needlepoint as a kid and later (those were the days!) and never took classes. I would buy her a couple of small kits to get started. The smaller the better because large needlepoint projects are very time consuming and kids may lose interest. |
| There are 2 good stores. The Point of It All in Friendship Heights (used to be in Foxhall) and Waste Knot in Arlington (behind Pastries by Randolph) |
| Ditto on Point of It All -- Susan (the owner) also has videos posted on MonkeySee -- http://www.thepointofitallonline.com/videos |
| Seconding The Point of It All - www.tpoia.com . Susan Battle is the best. |
