Did you get a positive HPT after a negative HPT??

I just tested today at 12dpo and got a BFN (big fat negative) and now I am sooooo depressed. My temperature is still up and I have very light cramping in my lower abdomen and creamy white CM (sorry TMI) so I really want to be pregnant. I will test again tomorrow but I want to know if anyone got a negative HPT and then later got a positive HPT?

I did, two times...so hang in there!! I know it can be tough, but wait a few days if you can. Or, if your doctor's office does this, go in for a blood test. Mine allowed walk ins for this so I went in to be sure.

What is normal for you OP, how many dpo later do you get your period?

It all depends on hormone level, so absolutely, you can get a negative b/c it doesn't pick up if you test to early

OP here. This is my first month TTC so I have NO idea what my LP length is supposed to be.

Well, then you have to be a bit more patient. 16 days could be normal for you and after 18 dpos you should definitely know. (The success rate of pregnancy tests is based on missed period I think not on being able to pick up any time of the month.)

I have a friend who got a BFN on the day of her missed period, and a BFP later. She has a 1.5 yo daughter now. It is possible.

Not only did I get a positive HPT after several negative HPT, the positive HPT also came after a negative blood test at the doctor's office! Kind of a crazy set of circumstances, but the bottom line was that both the negative HPT tests and the doctor's own blood test were taken too soon. I didn't get the positive result until about 3 weeks after conception.
