if you were in the lucky position to choose between these two, which would you pick?

If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?

Capital City, hands down.

Walnut.

School already started and the Cap City lottery for next year isn't until March. How do you have this choice?

Both are good schools.

We chose Oyster. Bilingual immersion and much nicer facilities, plus well-established parent community, plus no need to get into the car to get to school every day.

A close friend of mine is on the Cap City board -- I don't mean to slam it at all, because it's a very good choice.

Oyster upper school bit of a mess; if you are willing to hang in there and capacity build...OK. Otherwise, why bother?
Anonymous
What grade? Both great options.

How does E.L. Haynes compare? I love the idea of a school that goes all the way through 12th grade.

Starting at K it would take over 6 years to start middle school. Lots of capacity building will occur prior to my needing to worry about it! Also the middle school at cap city is pretty new as well.

EL Haynes gets high marks. They will go through high school, have just acquired another campus with 5 acres of land, and are a
YEAR ROUND school, which means there are lots of fun activities throughout the summer!

op: for kindergarten

OP, did you actually get a spot for Cap City and you're already enrolled at Oyster for K? Or is this just hypothetical, and very likely to stir up a hornet's nest?

Anonymous
op: this is not hypothetical.
