And to what extent did all of her "famous ministry friends" drop her and to what extent was it the other way around?

I know of at least one instance where she dropped them because they disagreed. And I'm curious about her relationship with Beth Moore, because Beth was so supportive when Jen went through that and when she went through her divorce, and Jen did not utter a peep when Beth's book came out and talked about some hard stuff (childhood sexual abuse, husband's mental health issues) that blow Jen's Saga of Tragedy out of the water.

I'm sure some people dropped her but that road goes both ways. (And frankly I think Jen is jealous of Beth because Beth handled herself so much more graciously when all the Trump fallout happened and is still packing out venues.)

Beth Moore is a class act and continually proves that. I was really disgusted when her autobiography book came out and Jen didn't promote it or say ANYTHING about it after Beth stuck her neck out in being kind to Jen and supporting her during the evangelical fallout and subsequent divorce. I guess you find out who your friends are. Beth's book was fantastic and it seems clear that God is blessing her with solid book sales. At the very least, Jen should be promoting Beth's book as a selection for her book club if she's only going to promote things that benefit her.

So bored with JH these days. I check this forum to see if anything interesting is going on and the answer has been no for a while. I guess now her inner circle doesn’t want to be featured much, there’s not much to say, just crap to sell.

Glad Jen is affirming of queer kids! I hope she reflects on these posts and refrains from making stereotypical jokes in the future about a group that she is not a part of.

Don’t promote the harmful stereotype that gay people are stylish and flamboyant. And yes, it’s harmful because it makes them seem like weird caricatures to be avoided unless you’re a lonely shallow girl looking for a new BFF.

I think of my gay uncles as an anecdote. The only “party”, they’re throwing would involve cheap beer, smoking and praying guests leave after 20 minutes.

Does Jen want a medal or something?

I have such a bad feeling about the "having a gay child" Me Course. I have compassion for what Jen went through but to monetize it now, to profit from having a gay child? I think it said the course was 40% off, like that shows allyship of some sort.
If she has all these amazing resources, why doesn't she just offer them up to other parents? Why does she have to make money off of her child's sexuality? What makes her an expert, is what I want to know.

I agree, monetizing how to be an ally to your gay kids feels shitty. This is a course that should just be free. Sure make people pay for the cooking course or content creating course but gatekeeping/paywalling allyship and using your role to your own gay kid to make money is a really bad move.

"What I care most about is getting this e-course into the hearts and hands of as many people as possible" Okay girl then make it free. Post in on youtube or facebook where anybody can watch it.

Is really no one calling her out on this in the comments, or are those being deleted?

I haven’t paid attention to Jen for awhile, but I love how she sets up this “gay parenting “ me course. Rolls into profits off the back of something personal as usual. I really think this is sick because it’s using her child . Like is there something groundbreaking here? People are people, love your kids unconditionally. If you have beliefs that are at odds with their sexuality, guess what, still love them. The end.

Seriously. And if someone needs tips for what to do/say or how to handle specific situations, there are plenty of free resources online.

Especially since a lot of this massive rise in gay youth is popular contagion . I think bill marr has video on this

You guys are the ones giving pages view to her blog. If you don't want her to monetize it, don't let her.

Isn’t this what all of these “influencers” of JH’s ilk do though?

Way back when: the Gosselins, even the Duggars and I’ll toss in Glennon. I’d call this monetizing or pandering or shilling under false pretenses.

Find some niche or worse, a major family shift or tragedy and reinvent yourself as a lifestyle guru influencer expert and then go on speaking tours. Chase that cash!

Absolutely shameful that JH is doing this on the back of her DD. I’d love to know if her DD approves of this and how she feels about having her sexuality discussed publicly and for her mom’s personal gain.

For a hot second I *actually thought* she was going to share this information for free on a podcast series or something.

NOPE.

Jen is a corporation or at least trying to be. Like Target, bud light, she is just jumping on the propaganda gravy train. It’s calculated and good for her “brand.”
