I love organization

Anonymous
Some of my happiest moments are spent writing out to-do lists, color coding stuff, organizing a closet or a pantry, tidying up, etc. I’m not OCD about it- if the pantry isn’t organized it’s not a huge deal but once I can finally get time to arrange it as I like...ah, bliss.

Anyone else? LOL.

I love apple pie. And foot massages.

I love looking at organized spaces but am not great at organizing. I love looking up organized spaces on Pinterest or bullet journal layouts with color coded pages

I wish I was like you. I have ADHD and I don't know how to organize things or keep things tidy. It's miserable.

Omg this is me. I just went crazy with oxo containers and a label maker in my pantry!

I used to be like this. Then life went kablooey and I did a 180. I WANT to get back to my old organized, tidy self. It seems impossible.

Exactly. I used to love organizing my own little life as a teen and young adult. Now it's me, plus the kids and the big kid (husband), it's very hard to do. Husband declares himself incapable of organizing anything, and he NEVER does. It either stays on the floor or someone else does it.

Please come to my house! It really takes discipline on my part to keep things organized. I do a decent job but I regularly let stuff slide and the paperwork, junk drawers, closets, etc. get messy.

I love being organized too. When things get busy and I don't have time, I feel more scatter brained. Organizing calms me. I don't really need to leave the house to have fun because I can just organize.

You're not going to achieve the level of organization op's describing. You're going to accept your imperfections. And make small changes, e.g. 10 minute tidy every day. Eventually it will become habit.

DH is traveling all week. I've spent the last two evenings reorganizing my clothes closets and all the junk drawers. I love it! I have to force myself to stop or I may stay up all night organizing.

SAME exact issue. When it's me, I know where everything is. Throw in four other variables and messmakers and I'm not in control anymore and it's too big to fight...
