Flintstones's Vitamins/not good after about 6 months??

Anonymous
Moms,I have an question for you =)
I buy the big Flintstones's Vitamins at Costco for my DS who is 8 years old and very picky about food.AndI've notticed that after about 6 months the vitamins starts to get some black spots on it.
It is normal???

The exp.date is 7/10,so I know it's still good.
Why does it happen?
I get the 200 chewable tables and I don't want to throu it way.
Thank's.

I've noticed the same thing...anyone have any answers???

FWIW (!) I've always assumed it's a harmless reaction with moisture in the air.

Someone posted this in the general parenting thread not to long ago. The black spots are just the iron oxidating with the air per the flinstone website. Check it out under FAQs.

OP here-
I called the 1800 # and they told me it happens because air cames into the bottle and also for being touched by us(They recommend to never touch the vitamins and it will NOT get darker).
3 weeks after the call,I got a letter from them explaning everything and free coupons and Vitamins!!!
Isn't that great!!!
