| Just curious |
| Because I don’t want strangers looking at my Facebook. I thought this was obvious? |
Np. You're misunderstanding the question. OP, I know one person who said "there was some drama," so she set her profile to not allow friend requests. I don't know the details of this drama. She pared down her friend list to just a handful of people. |
| I don't do the facebook thing. |
|
A couple reasons:
1. Got so sick of all the political posts this past election season. Deleted everyone who wasn't family or an extremely close friend. 2. I use Facebook primarily to follow musicians/artists/products I like, and to share pictures of my kids with family who live far away. If you don't fall into either catagory, I don't need you as a Facebook friend. |
| I didn't know it was a setting, I don't accept any requests for the last 10 years. I will change it to "not allow to add as a friend". I don't like to add people I don't have some level of closeness. I add everyone but bots on LinkedIn, "friend me" there. |
Same on the both. Serious clean up after election season too. |
| Because there are a bunch of spammers and catfishes the friend request you |
| Not interested in having fly-by-night friends If you're not already my FB friend, I don't know you that well. |
This ! |
| I'm already Facebook friends with all the people I'm friends with and related to. |
Same |
| People can't just decide to add you as a friend and then see all your stuff. You have to approve friend requests.... Right? |
Yes. You don't have to accept their friend's request. you can also set your security so only friends can see posts. or friends and their friends. or the whole world. Somebody that won't accept friends request probably feels weird not accepting friends requests. |
And yet, you both chose to read and post on this thread?! SMH.
