| Any recommendations for a drivable long-weekend activity over the Xmas Holidays for 3 and 1 year olds? We usually do NYC, and I am interested in something else this year. |
| Williamsburg is really fun over the holidays. |
| Hershey Park has a winter wonderland theme going on. Haven't been but heard good things. |
| Ditto PPs. I normally wouldn't recommend Williamsburg at Christmas with two young ones (DH and I do this every couple of years as our couple weekend getaway during December) as there isn't as much for them to do, but this year Busch Gardens is going to open during December for the first time. Check out their website. Hershey also has lots going on. |
| I am the one who recommended W'burg and I think there is a ton to do there for young kids, even if the history is over their heads. You can do the horse drawn carriage ride, go to the various demonstrations, go to the toy shop, etc. They have several kids programs that we've been to over the years including a christmas musical show. The restaurants tend to be very child friendly as well. |

The Philly area. You can take the kids to Longwood Gardens and see the ice skating show plus all the decorations, go to the Jersey Aquarium, Please Touch Museum. Pick a kid friendly hotel like the Embassy Suites or Residence Inn, with pools and you will be set for a great couple of days.
Or you could do Virginia Beach. Stay on the beach with a hotel pool. Do the Festival of Lights on the boardwalk. Let the kids run free on the beach at the playground. Take them to the aquarium. |
I agree! We took DS when he was an infant and can't wait to go back and actually do all the fun stuff they have for kids. Plus with all the amazing Christmas decor, you can get some really great photo ops. |
