| Probably depends where you are, but our experience in MCPS is that yes there are costs. But you don't pay a fee to join. |

| No school sponsored sports in MS in Fairfax County ( a few after school intramural type programs but those are different). They went the way of the budget ax decades ago. Yes, there are fees for sports in HS. |
