Does anyone in Maryland have Kaiser through the Maryland Exchange? I am familiar with CareFirst, but I only have one attempt IVF attempt left and was considering switching to Kaiser during this open season to get 3 more attempts. Was wondering what their ivf and meds coverage was like. The plan documents are kinda vague and hard to understand.
Thanks in advance!

Kaiser is always 50% IVF coverage. I had it last year but through my employer. They cover ICSI if you meet certain criteria, but not assisted hatching. Also, you are required to work with Shady Grove and get referred to them from a regular Kaiser obgyn. |
| Has anyone tried slogging through all The plan documents for the plans available on the exchange? I have a wild Friday night ahead. Of me. |

Just a note, I am also trying to figure out best IVF coverage on the Maryland Exchange. I called Kaiser yesterday to ask about coverage for their Kaiser Platinum 0/5/dental plan 2018 (the old 0/20), and the rep told me it DOES NOT cover IFV at all, and that the info on the Exchange is wrong. He told me to check the Kaiser site in 2 days for updated plan info. Again, this is what 1 rep told me on the phone, so I'd definitely verify but if true, certainly worrying. Especially since it was my understanding that due to the Maryland Mandate, any plan that offers pregnancy coverage has to cover IVF. If you do call Kaiser and find out something, please post here as I'm curious. Thanks!

that really is weird because of the Maryland Mandate. I know there have been lots of changes in various coverages, but I feel like that we would have heard something about it if that changed. Since MD is one of the few states with that Mandate. |
