Advice on Infant Daycare around Capitol Hill/SE DC?

I'm due this fall and planning to return to work around the new year. We're (really, I'm) starting to think about child care. We'd like something close to home (Capitol Hill-ish). I've heard about Jenkins Hill, but have also heard that the waitlist is horrendous. Does anyone have advice or experience with alternatives? Thanks much.
