The restaurant in Italy is actually quite good.
We will be trying Morimoto in Disney Springs for our next trip there over spring break. We’ve been to the one in Philadelphia several times and know many people who loved the new location.

If you are looking specifically for steak, I've heard that Shula's at the Swan/Dolphin is actually the best on property.
For Le Cellier, everyone will need a park ticket, For Yachtsman (the one in the Yacht Club) and Shula's no ticket is needed because they are not within the park.

The Yacht Club has a new restaurant opening at the end of November, Ale and Compass. I am pretty excited about the new menu and booked a reservation.

I personally like booking a later dinner at the Rose and Crown in Epcot and watching Illuminations from the patio.

I read mixed a lot of mixed reviews on yelp for Morimoto, so I'm scared to experiment. What about the new Southern restaurant with the guy Art who used to be Oprah's chef, in Disney Springs?

We had an amazing meal at Le Cellier a few years ago.

We had dinner at Monsieur Paul a few months ago and it was excellent.

The restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin haven't been ruined by the Disney Dining Plan. Todd English's Bluezoo in the Dolphin is great.

The best restaurant is definitely Victoria and Albert at the Grand Floridian - but it's expensive and not necessarily kid-suitable.

I quite liked:

California Grill in the Contemporary
The Flying Fish on the Boardwalk
The Yachtsman in the Beach Club
Le Cellier in Epcot
Monsieur Paul in Epcot

They're expensive but at least the food is good. There's nothing worse than paying a premium for inedible food.

We went to both. I thought they were good but I had the scallops. DH is in to steak and he thought the Yachtsman compares favorably with well known steak houses he's been to in other parts of the country. Le Cellier is also good but not as good.

We enjoyed V&A, but LOVED Morimoto and the Spanish restaurant at the top of the Four Seasons.

Is it too stuffy to bring a 6 year old? (Cellier or yachtsman)

Nope we had a 6 yo with us (plus a 4 yo and an 8 yo )

There are some restaurants that don’t allow kids but they advertise that. I think the V&A is one.
