If after watching a news segment of the latest Trump admin debacle someone maks the comment of " Why can't all these people drop dead."
Why would you respond " Because God is long suffering and patient." and then when the other person says " I'm not looking for a religious interpretation. Just a comment a vent." why would you then say " MY god is patient and long suffering it's true." And then the other person tells you you're being kind of smug and condescending and this is why you don't go to church you tell the other person " You are disrespecting God." Now keep in mind you have vented your frustrations about the Trump admin before as has this Christian person. Actually the very next day, this person says something to you about Trump and they can annoyed when you reply " We don't need to worry about it as you said God's going to take care of it." Please explain your thought process. I'm baffled. |

The above is gibberish and hard to follow.
Here's a tip: Try again but use proper grammar, starting with your thread title. Instead of "answer me this" try writing in English. I suggest "If you are a Christian, please answer this question." I would suggest, however, that whatever pushback/hostility you're experiencing has less to do with Christianity and more to do with the chip on your shoulder than comes through clearly despite your poor command of language. Get someone to help you write this if you're unable to communicate clearly. |

It's not baffling, OP. As pp demonstrated Christians are hateful people.
They are the only ones justified in complaining. If you complain you are wrong and persecuting them. It's mental illness. |
pp here. I'm not a practicing Christian. The only thing I'm evangelical about is language and writing. The original post was gibberish. |
Your rudeness is uncalled for. OP's post i easy to understand. 1. OP made a venting remark about Trump to Christian friend. OP and this friend have previously vented about Trump. 2. OP's friend decided to give a self-righteous and sanctimonious reply 3. OP said I'm not trying to have a religious debate, I'm just venting. 4. OP's friend chose to act like she was being attacked. 5. OP said this is why she avoids church. 6. At the next meeting friend decides she feels like venting about Trump. OP gives her a taste of her own medicine and Op's friend didn't like being called out on her hypocrisy. OP your friend was being ridiculous. I'm a Christian, so I don't think this is a Christian thing, but I totally get why you feel that way because I know many of my Christian friends who behave the same way. Instead of trying to give you a Bible lesson I would have a) said nothing or b) said something like this mess is depressing to me too. I |
| You people are disgusting. |
How do you make the logical leap to me explaining my thought process? How do you make this an all-Christian thought process thing? The person you are dealing with just wants to pick a fight with you. Has nothing to do with Christianity except that's the tool they have chosen to pick a fight with you. Actually, they may want to pick a fight with you over religion, and are just using the Trump comment to start it off. Could have been, "oo it's cold outside" and they could respond "My God is suffering and patient" They just want to fight. Look at the forest, not the trees |
NP here and I completely agree. |
+2. Plus, OP is clearly loaded for bear, so I’m going to conclude she’s looking for a fight (speaking of “hateful people”) and I won’t engage with her. |
|
Op's story isn't clear, and would probably just be better told as a straight vent.
There are all sorts of annoying people in the world. Some of them happen to be Christian. If this person annoys you, op, then stop spending time with them. |
| If I’m reading this correctly (and who knows if I am), the Christian is the less annoying of the two interlocutors. Both participants are anti-Trump. The non-Christian anti-Trumper wants the Trumpettes to drop dead. The Christian anti-Trumper is willing to wait for God to take care of it, which seems passive and ambiguous, but at least it isn’t wishing death on anybody. |
So you mocked your friend by parroting her, and she knows you’re not sincere because she knows you don’t believe. Do you really need us to explain why she’s annoyed? |
| I can't keep track of who's who in this weird little story. |
| Christians have been persecuted for the prior 8 years before Trump. Trump is pro Christian, it enrages the non Christian's. |
| Your post is really weird. It would be like me saying: Answer me this, black people. You know not all Christians are alike, right? |
