Flashback Friday fun -- what "old" songs are you revisiting lately?

Let's say pre-2000. I know that isn't particularly old, but whatever.

I've been into the female vocalist ballads recently. I miss the old Mariah Carey, before she started standing around on stage refusing to sing.

Love this live version of Can't Let Go. With Randy Jackson of American Idol on bass

I heard Lido Shuffle recently and it suddenly sounded cool-retro rather than just lame to me. Now it's stuck in my head and I'm thinking of adding it to a playlist.

I am revisiting songs that remind me of my days of Doc Martens, purple hair (thank you Manic Panic from Commander Salamander) and clove cigarettes (blech, cannot believe I smoked those). Juliana Hatfield, Fugazi, Mazzy Star. It's nice to get in touch with my angsty self.

OP here. I'd never heard that one before!

Speaking of cool v lame, the oft-maligned and oft-revered Steely Dan comes to mind. Another old favorite of mine.

OP here. YES! Some days I still feel very much like this

I've been searching for covers of Sweet Child 'o Mine recently. The Fergie one where she dances like a stripper on Slash is hilarious.

I recently heard Santa Monica by Everclear somewhere and it instantly took me back to high school. I've always liked that song.

A Horse With No Name by America. Such a great song...

We listened to Yacht Rock on Sirius all summer long, and now my kids love Steely Dan. Such good stuff!

I was packing files into boxes for a departing client and put on the Paula Abdul Pandora station. It was great!
