MCPS Guidance Counselor Arrested for 2 Sexual Assaults (not of students)

Anonymous
Thankfully this wasn’t a case of students being victimized but still a bad story. The man was arrested for sexually assaulting two women he met on Tinder.

He was a guidance counselor at Einstein HS so police are putting out word.

I don't get how MCPS is not doing background checks on every employee every year or two and monitoring staff more.

? Did he have a previous criminal record that MCPS ignored or didn't find? A criminal isn't a criminal until he commits a crime. MCPS does not use minority report".

So seems like they started having sex consensually, then he did something kinky stuff, and they didn't agree to that.

Sounds like both met him at his home for the first "date" and proceeded to have consensual sex, and then...

I mean, not to victim blame, but who goes to someone's house (from Tinder no less) to meet them for the first time and has sex.

Sad that all the news reports have to say it wasn't a student because the situation in schools now is that we all assume it is students base don the past.

Well...I woudl say the sad part is that acquaintance rape is so common that the only way this makes the news is when it is a school employee.

Lots of people. Consent to sex does not mean consent to all sex acts.

They had never met before. Sorry, the number one rule of online dating is meet in a public place the first time.

I’m the OP. I specified that in this thread because I didn’t want it to seem misleading. And was relieved that it was not students.

I don’t think a background check would have prevented this TBH.

This.

Sorry but I don’t fault the women. Agreeing to some sex acts doesn’t automatically mean the other person can do anything they want.

Do we know when he last got a background check?

Where does it say he had a criminal record and that mcps ignored it? I didn't see that in the link OP provided.
