I was using Gillette Sensor and buying the refills. Thought after a decade I'd try something different and just stood looking at all of the razors in CVS not knowing what to do... what surprised me was how expensive they all are. I shave my legs every other day or so in the summer, less in the winter. Any recommendations?

I used to use the samd dispoable razors for many years until recently. I borrowed my sister's Venus and loved it! I got the whole set up from Costco. It's pricey at first, but it came with a bunch of razors which last about a week each and with a little suction cup holder for the shower. I LOVE the Venus!
Schick and Venus are often on sale and have Sunday coupons.
I still use the pink Daisy ones. . .
I love the Intuition ones with the built-in shaving cream. I can shave in a couple of minutes with that thing.
FYI, using shave gel as opposed to soap extends the life of your razor.

schick quattro --- the pink one with four blades in each razor head. I find its the only one of the "women's" razors that still feels heavy in your hand the way the men's Sensor razors do, which I used to use before the quattro.
I wait WAY too long to replace the blade (less than monthly?) and feel like it does a great job. It makes replacements a lot cheaper, too. And, I use soap, hair conditioner, body wash, shave/gel/foam/cream...whatever is handy the day i'm shaving (every day, in the summer, less in winter). |
Rite Aid has 3-pack Gillette Mach 3, Sensor 3 or Venus on sale for $5.99 this week. There's also an additional $2 off manufacturer's coupon in most Sunday papers.
