Does anyone else get chest pain multiple times a year (like 2 to 3). It is always accompanied by breathing issues. I don’t have to be engaging in physical activity.
Over the past six years, I have gone to the ER twice. They always say a strained muscle. Is it really that normal to strain muscles that frequently? |
| I am only 30, btw. Just had blood work done - all normal. |

Costochrondritis can present like this. It is relatively common in young females. Have you looked into this as a possibility?
Spoiler alert: Not much can be done about it--you just accept it as part of your new normal. But it does mean it is not a serious issue of concern. |
| Take 2-3 regular strength aspirin. Put your head in the freezer (good for breathing). Put on a breath-right nose strip to open your airways. You are trying to relax and not let this escalate to panic. |
+1. I did two emergency room visits for costochondritis. Really scary and annoying, but no real medical harm. Heavier dose motrin for a week or so can make it go away. And be careful with activities that stress the front of the chest, like clutching a steering wheel for a long trip. |
| My husband is also experiencing that but when asked his doctor he was advised to go on a diet. |
