I disagree. If you read Carol Dweck's research--she's a Stanford U professor--she states that people with growth mindsets can always learn and believe they can improve. With her research proving this, the idea of "being smart" is all in our head. In a sense, what we believe about ourselves -- smart or dumb -- will come true based on whether we believe we can improve or not. You can learn to play multiple instruments at any age if you have the time and money to do so. Many people--including myself--lack the interest to play an instrument well. That wouldn't factor into this. A person has to have the desire in order to improve or learn in a certain area. |
This is DCUM. Many here do not believe a down-to-earth person who does not come off as a pompous intellectual can be intelligent. |

She is a song-writing prodigy. This is her true genius. I don't think this can be disputed. She had a 300-song portfolio by the time she was 16. They seem to pour out of her.

Agree it’s her genius ability. |
He didn't do it in the same month. Won the Super Bowl in February, which then brought him to hosting SNL in March, landed new commercials based on new signing with talent agency over the summer, and then started dating Taylor Swift in July or August. This isn't hard to see, but you have to actually open your eyes to facts. |
I disagree. |
I disagree with you. |
+1. It would explain why some of the more intelligent men she has been with in the past all left her. Maybe by lowering her standards she’s met her perfect match. |

Good example of her lip synching on reddit. For all those who insisted when I posted about it before that she has sung every single word live in every single concert.

Nah. Taylor is smart. It is why she fell for fellow intelligent and talented artist Matty, and wrote him all those songs across multiple albums. Taylor calls them twin flames cause their passion, artistry, and minds work a lot alike. “Everyone we know understands why it’s meant to be.” I don’t understand the Travis relationship at all, other than being a PR stint and money grab for him, and a revenge on Matty for her. |
+1000 Taylor Swift is the equivalent of Britney Spears. The next talentless/mediocre blonde white woman will be Sabrina Carpenter. Rinse and repeat. |
Nobody but the two people involved in a relationship needs for you, or anyone outside it for that matter, to understand it. The fact that you truly believe she’s in this relationship just for some type of revenge proves how far off your grip on reality truly is. Funny how everyone else involved has long since moved on but you and your fellow Matty idolizers. |
I understand the relationship. She has been dating for 16+ years, usually attracted to the same “intellectual” and artistic type. Turns out none of those relationships worked out for her. The guys were too in their own heads, their own careers, unable to commit to her for one reason or another. So now she’s dating a different type - a jock who seems more straightforward and perhaps also a more stable partner. She’s almost 35, and it makes sense that she is ready to stop repeating the same mistakes. |
Yeah well the "twin flame" dumped her and then proposed to the next woman within a matter of months, so good for Taylor for moving on and taking a chance on somebody not her usual type. |

I think Travis and Taylor are great for each other.
Taylor has always wanted to be this amazing Indy artist (she wrote about it in the songs about John Mayer etc). She wanted to be the the tortured poet known for her brilliance. At 34 she has finally realized that she is an amazing success as a huge commercial pop star. Travis is also a huge franchise success. This is Taylor coming to terms with herself and finding her right fit. |
