I disagree. If you read Carol Dweck's research--she's a Stanford U professor--she states that people with growth mindsets can always learn and believe they can improve. With her research proving this, the idea of "being smart" is all in our head. In a sense, what we believe about ourselves -- smart or dumb -- will come true based on whether we believe we can improve or not.

You can learn to play multiple instruments at any age if you have the time and money to do so. Many people--including myself--lack the interest to play an instrument well. That wouldn't factor into this. A person has to have the desire in order to improve or learn in a certain area.

Yep. I never heard of the Kelces before last year - when they played the Super Bowl against each other. Then he hosted SNL and I thought "this guy isn't such a bad actor. He's pretty funny." Then he and Taylor just blew up. Now snippets of his podcast with Jason are always on my feed. Gotta admit, both brothers are articulate and they don't come across as bozos. There is just something likeable about both of them. I enjoy seeing Kylie and the 3 cute daughters as well.

The Kelce family is probably one of the only families Taylor could date into where she would not completely overshadow her boyfriend and his entire family.

+1 Agree with all of this. I can’t understand why the PPs that think he is so dumb (along with most athletes) keep checking into this thread to say the same thing over and over again.

Count me in too. Both he and his brother come across like people who grew up in a typical middle class Midwestern family. They both also seem like they appreciate the opportunities they’ve had and their successes and enjoying life to its fullest. Just because they’re not pretentious doesn’t mean they’re not intelligent.

She is a song-writing prodigy. This is her true genius. I don't think this can be disputed. She had a 300-song portfolio by the time she was 16. They seem to pour out of her.

He just blew up all right... just a coincidence he signs with CAA, hosts SNL, lands tons of commercials, and dates Swift in the same month. lol. Industry relationship.

He didn't do it in the same month. Won the Super Bowl in February, which then brought him to hosting SNL in March, landed new commercials based on new signing with talent agency over the summer, and then started dating Taylor Swift in July or August. This isn't hard to see, but you have to actually open your eyes to facts.

Nobody but the two people involved in a relationship needs for you, or anyone outside it for that matter, to understand it. The fact that you truly believe she’s in this relationship just for some type of revenge proves how far off your grip on reality truly is. I understand the relationship. She has been dating for 16+ years, usually attracted to the same “intellectual” and artistic type. Turns out none of those relationships worked out for her. The guys were too in their own heads, their own careers, unable to commit to her for one reason or another. So now she’s dating a different type - a jock who seems more straightforward and perhaps also a more stable partner. She’s almost 35, and it makes sense that she is ready to stop repeating the same mistakes.

Yeah well the "twin flame" dumped her and then proposed to the next woman within a matter of months, so good for Taylor for moving on and taking a chance on somebody not her usual type.

I think Travis and Taylor are great for each other.

Taylor has always wanted to be this amazing Indy artist (she wrote about it in the songs about John Mayer etc). She wanted to be the the tortured poet known for her brilliance.

At 34 she has finally realized that she is an amazing success as a huge commercial pop star. Travis is also a huge franchise success.

This is Taylor coming to terms with herself and finding her right fit.
