New Volunteer requirements

In case you haven't heard, PGCPS has new requirements for volunteers. This does not apply to folks doing one time events (Career Day, STEM fair, Men Make and Difference, Muffins with Moms) but does for Field Trip chaperones.
1) Fingerprinting (free with FARMS letter or ~$56)
2) CPS Background Check
3) Three online training modules.
You must complete these at least 14 days prior to the event that you would like to participate in. The county will be holding evening fingerprinting and training events in all the districts in the coming months.

I went on Tuesday to get fingerprinted at the office in Upper Marlboro. I thought it would be a quick thing at 10am on a work day but it took an hour. Just an FYI for those who are planning on going. I was shocked that it was so busy.

Yikes! I hadn't heard anything about the training modules. Thanks for the heads up.

Strange, I went to get fingerprinted yesterday, and they didn't mention any training modules.

I tried to do the training modules online but they don't work. I tried in different browsers, too.
