I bought several glass storage containers with snap lids a few years ago from Bed Bath and Beyond (the brand is Pro Glass). I liked them for a while, they really were leakproof which was helpful for commuting. But now the tabs on the lids are starting to break off and they don't appear to sell replacement lids. Blah! Seems so wasteful to have to get rid of all of them. So now I need to get new containers and feel like I should be more mindful of what I get this time. I like Pyrex for general storage of leftovers but really do need some with the snap lids that seal better. It looks like Glasslock sells replacement lids (and I think they often carry this brand at Homegoods??) so thinking of getting some of those. Other recommendations welcomed- we occasionally need some for freezing as well. |
I like the Fortrolig containers from IKEA. Cheaper than Glasslock.

Anchor Hocking is pretty good, and for a bonus, they are made in the USA. |
How long did they last? In your situation I'd just get replacement lids if the prices weren't bad. I have Glasslock and IKEA and prefer the Glasslock snapping mechanism to Ikea's (smoother and easier). |
Glasslock/snapware guarantees their lids and will send you free replacements if they break. |
I have some snapware containers that I got at Homegoods and they are great so far. |
Read the post again, she can't find replacement lids. Just did a quick google search on that brand and didn't see any either. |
I buy the snap ware sets from Costco. Both glass and bpa-free plastic. |
the +1 on the glass ones (with plastic lids). |
IKEA for us. And I get the smaller sizes at tj maxx. |
I think she meant BBB doesn't sell replacement kids. Later in that paragraph she wrote, "It looks like Glasslock sells replacement lids (and I think they often carry this brand at Homegoods??) so thinking of getting some of those." |
Really? What kind of proof of purchase do you need for this? I just picked up some containers from Target but would love to know how to get replacement lids for free if they ever start to fail. |
Oh sorry Pp... I see OP didnt but Glasslock brand to begin with. Yes if you are replacing, I would buy Glasslock instead. I'm Korean so we have a lot of aidediahes. The Glasslock containers are great and keep strong smells (garlic, sesame) pretty well contained. |
Target is having a sale on some of the Snapware glass containers. I picked up a bunch of medium rectangular sized ones and love them so far! Not too deep and they stack well. The lid is dry erase which is kind of cool, but I haven't tried that feature yet. I have no idea if this brand guarantees their lids though- does anyone know? |
I didn't need to prove I purchased anything. I just called their customer service number and requested more lids, and a week or two later, some arrived in the mail. I don't think I paid for shipping. |
