freeze credit after equifax breach

Is everyone supposed to freeze credit after the Equifax breach? Just wondering what others have done.

I've been trying...their website is overwhelmed and you can't actually do it. NYT says to try in the middle of the night!

Wow, the level of incompetence with Equifax has been unbelievable.

This NPR article recommends some steps. I think placing a fraud alert looks like a good option.

I have now managed to freeze my credit with the 3 big agencies plus the smaller one innovis(?).
