How to find a teaching job in DC charter schools

Anonymous
I just moved to the area and see the how to apply to DCPS or local MD counties. Is there a streamlined way to apply to charters, or do you apply to each school individually. Is there some sort of job board that lists vacancies at charters? Thanks in advance.

I don't know DC's process but where I live, charters are so desperate for teachers they take any warm body. And usually, most charters either end up with teachers quitting mid year or they get fired mid year. My best friend teaches in a charter and 4 of 10 classrooms have gone through more than 2 teachers ALREADY and 2 more have gone through more than 1.

DC Public Charter School Board: dcpcsb.org

This will give you full list of DC charter schools, and current openings. Links will most likely be redirected to the school's job site to apply.

Apply directly to their websites. Go to the DC Schools thread to get a feel for which schools you want to apply to. Many of the charters in Southeast have openings year round.
