What is your go-to costco shopping list, lets say for ~$100-200? All meals + snacks
here are some things on my list: rotis chicken milk x2 1-2 easier frozen meals 1-2 containers of fruit 1 lg pck chicken 1 lg pck either ground beef or some other meat a handful of snack products, but cant think of specific ones right now up to 4 boxes of cereal (usually get veggies in normal quantities at normal grocery store, so i can have more variety) |
|
I don't usually buy meat at Costco, so my list usually looks something like:
Bananas 1 other fruit, depending on what is in season 1 pack berries (rotate type by trip - strawberries one time, blueberries another, etc) Bell peppers Cucumbers Cherry tomatoes Possibly one big package of vegetables like broccoli, which we use a lot of Cheese Wine Case of San Pellegrino sparkling water Coffee beans Butter Frozen salmon Pantry staples (not every time, but replace as they are getting low): rice, pasta, nuts (their big bags of pecans and almonds are the best), flour, sugar, brown sugar when we're approaching fall baking season Household goods - paper towels, tp, batteries, laundry soap, PJs for the kids |
| Lettuce box, cucumbers, bell peppers, wild salmon (if thru habe it fresh) ,organoc chicken, seasonal fruit, hummus, manchego, kerrygold, 2 dozen eggs, bacon, tP, papertowels, cleaning supplies, and then random impulse purchases. |
|
I don't buy all of these every time, but these are the things I'll generally get at Costco:
Paper towels Toilet Paper Cat Litter le croix Vanilla Chicken bouillon (the kind in the jar) Contact lens solution Toothbrushes Cheerios Canned tomatoes Butter Milk/eggs (I don't make a trip for these, but I will get them when I'm getting other stuff) Pecorino Burrata Cheddar Batteries |
|
I was just there today. Had milk & Goldfish on the list. Spent $250. ?
Things I usually buy: Beer Wine Blueberries Pound cakes Croissants Chicken salad Cheese Sausages or ham or kielbasa Chicken burritos Peanut butter Cheerios Maple syrup Frozen chicken breasts Frozen wild salmon Meatballs Ravioli or pierogies or samosas or some frozen something Butter Yogurt tubes Milk OJ |
|
Their prices for pecans, cashews, vanilla extract and maple syrup are unbeatable. I also love their tilapia loins, which taste much better than a tilapia fillet. The frozen shrimp is a good price too.
What I don't buy there is half-and-half. It's like 80 cents more than what I can get at Harris Teeter. I don't understand it. |
|
Olive oil, olives, diced tomatoes, artichoke hearts, lots of chicken (packs of thighs and wings), big thing of parm, eggs, the bagged kale salad from that cold room, sparkling water, scotch, prosecco, dishwasher detergent, 3-4 fancy beers for the hubs
I've tried to buy produce there a couple of times but it's always been dicey (an entire 10 lb bag of onions covered in mold when I took them out as soon as we got home??), so I get produce from our CSA or closer to home. But we get pantry staples and frozen food there. |

Organic eggs
Lifeway kefir avocados berries mini cucumbers tomatoes mushrooms Kirkland tuna PB Mixed nuts jar cheese crisps (like crackers, but made 100% of cheese) popcorn frozen wild salmon Kirkland shampoo and conditioner. Phenomenal. Like $8-10/huge bottle. I've read it's Pureology who makes it for Kirkland, which would retail multiples higher. Works so well, is vegan, no sulfates, etc. |

Op here.
Backstory is I have 2 kids home with me; saw a need and an open window but no time to make a list. I generally can handle just going in and getting 'regular' stuff but was a little concerned that I would go overboard ha ha. *Risky going in with no list, right?* Some of the lists above helped me get myself together. I got gas. Spent $100 and I'm prett pleased! Rotisserie chicken 2 milks 4 boxes cereal/granola Cheese crisps someone ^ mentioned Just ran out of our massive bag o rice from 1.5 years ago! S got jasmine rice Bananas Mini kind bars, already such a perfect buy Roasted chickpea snack Fresh mangoes Natures own bread Thanks all! Ps I upgraded to executive membership today. They had a thing where upgrading is only $25, 2% back, with guaranteed return check of 25 if I don't make that much back. |
