| We need to buy about 200 cubic feet of topsoil on Saturday morning (we live in DC on the Montgomery County border). Any sources for topsoil other than Home Depot and American Plant? |
| Plenty: google 'clean top soil' and many listings will come up-Mr Mulch being one of them (not a rec for just name that comes to my mind.) Be better if you arrange to have delivered-if you are thinking of getting yourself. Call during week and schedule for weekend. |
| Great, thanks. |

I'm not sure what's available in MD worst case you can always goto your local garden center and order some in bulk. There are plenty of other options. Bulk soil/mulch is usually measured in cubic yards. 200 cubic feet is about 7.5 yards.
Here in VA there's Remington mulch (I've used them with success and their topsoil is finely screened very good quality) and JK Enterprise (as well as plenty of others) that might deliver to your location. Bagged topsoil is always overpriced compared to ordering bulk, and you don't need to haul it yourself. |

Check this place out. They sell it by cubic yards. Around $25.00 a cubic yard. They will schedule a Saturday delivery for you. If you want screened topsoil it's more.

Having done this just a few weeks ago, I can advise. We had a good experience buying from Brookville Landscape Supply - we rented a uHaul and picked it up ourselves. Some places do deliver, but only a couple to DC proper, if that's where you live. If you want it delivered, you should call today, because by the time we got around to calling, there were no more delivery spots.
Buying from one of these places will save you like 85% over buying from American Plant or Home Depot. |
They are good! There is also http://greygoosefarm.com/ |
