Anyone over 50 taking testosterone?

I have a friend of a friend who is 55 and takes testosterone in the form of a subdermal pellet and it apparently has done wonders for her libido and energy and she looks like she is 30. I've never heard of this before and I'm very intrigued It apparently doesn't have the negative side effects that estrogen supplementation has.

It's making my husband lose his hair. He has lost all interest in sex but, it controls his mood swings.

I took some and it did not help my libido, but I did sprout some truck driver hairs on my chin, and it also made me whack my teen DD a couple of times when she was snarky. I am not kidding you, she's push my buttons over and over, and I went from calm to strike! immediately. (just a flick, not hard but still). It was like I could not control myself. The second I concluded it was the T, I quit it.

Not saying you shouldn't try it, OP, but just saying, watch out for that part of it. Men have had a long time as boys to learn to get it under control. I don't think my brain was wired for it.

One side effect is that your clitoris will grow in size. For me, not a bad side effect.

I tried it and my testicles started shrinking. Also became unpleasantly aggressive. Stopped the treatment and both conditions are better.

How much were you taking and what product was it?

You've always had testosterone in your body - your ovaries make it. You're not supposed to have as much as a man - you were probably taking too much?

I'm thinking that these people aren't taking testosterone as prescribed by a doctor. Maybe they're grabbing DH's androgen or ordering something online from another country?

I saw a doctor and was told to look for things like lots of acne . At a low dose it takes a long time to have any effects at all really - it's a slow gradual process.

Not OP but ask any female bodybuilder who has taken roids to get huge. One side effect is that their clitoris grows to the size of small

Wouldn't it make you fat and hairy? I've suffered from PCOS, which was increased testosterone and that's the side effect.
