Little Ambassadors Academy - New Campus

I heard that Little Ambassadors Academy is opening a third campus in the leeway-overlee neighborhood. Does anyone have more info on this and when the third campus will open?

I saw the presentation that was made to the County board, they have acquired the old Republic Electronics Corporation building which is right on 29, at the intersection of McKinley. I'll try to see if I can find the presentation.

Interesting. I'd been wondering what was going on with that building given how long it appeared to be vacant.

And here come the classic Arlington NIMBYs. I want to be sympathetic to homeowners like this, but it’s impossible when I think about how (1) they bought a house right next to Lee Highway, so obviously they knew commercial development was possible; and (2) we so desperately need more daycare centers, and it’s hard to sympathize with anyone standing in the way of that.

Umm... it’s right next to a shopping complex and it’s on Lee Highway. There’s already a lot of traffic. If that bothers them they should move somewhere else. We need more quality daycare centers in Arlington.

The lawsuit is so ridiculous. Is there something that can be done to show support to the County? Should we be emailing the county board? I am concerned rather than defend the case the county will just cave.
