What light fall jacket is your tween/teen wearing this year?

Fashion-clueless mom needs to buy something soon and I have no idea what is cool and practical. Would like something with a zipper. All my ideas have been rejected as too babyish and cute.

If it's a boy, forget it. They won't wear any jacket until it's absolutely freezing. And then, only a sports hoodie at best. I'm waiting to see if the shorts ever go away this winter- DS just started 7th grade. I've heard from several experienced parents that this is the year shorts start almost year round.

I got my son some champion C9 jacket from Target (more waterproof/windbreaker) and a Sherpa fleece hoodie from Lands End. Kid keeps growing so fast now that nothing from last year fits.

My daughter has something similar to this and a zippered fleece hoodie from Old Navy.

My teen boys wear Underarmour sweatshirts all winter that go over the head. And yes, they are the idiots wearing shorts all winter! They say the school is really hot - which it is!
