As much as this saddens me, I take at least some tiny consolation in the fact that he toured this year in celebration of the 40th anniversary of The Heartbreakers.

He truly lived his life! And 40 years for a rock band is an extraordinary run. He has been taken off life support; Rest in peace good sir! You will truly be missed. Hugs to all the other fans out there.

Very sad. And hard to believe. The concerts at the Hollywood Bowl celebrating 40 years and ending the tour were just last week!
