DCPS IEP students asked to join "Young Athletes" w/ Special Olympics?? Experiences with the program?

Wondering if anyone has had experience with the Young Athletes program that is part of Special Olympics and Head Start? Our child has pretty minor IEP needs in comparison to what most would hinkle of with Special Olympics. The program seems to be more are social skills and learning through sports. It is for ages 2-7 per the website. The school didn't send any details as to how often, where and when etc. I of course put in a call to learn more. But I am wondering if anyone has experience with this program?? Did you kids enjoy it?? Was it well run??

Teacher here, its a really fun experience for the children. Last year I took a class and it was co-facillitated by students from Catholic U and Air Force members. The children basically experienced physical activity games in station rotations for most of the day, and had an awards ceremony at the end.
