Please do your grooming at home! Woman in the next cube is clipping her nails. She does it once a week and I just want to barf. She also puts on makeup. Gross! Do it at home people!
Thank you. Rant over. |
| Why is makeup gross? I often put on a little more makeup at work and touch it up at work. It takes 5 min. |
|
Putting on make is gross?
I agree she should go to the bathroom to put on makeup, but it's not gross. |
| Work harder. Get a better job where you have your own office with a window instead of a cube with a clipper. |
I think anything that happens in the work bathrooms is gross and unsanitary. I wouldn't put on makeup there. I have a coworker who cuts up apples in the bathroom and I'm SO grossed out by the thought of her eating those apples. |
That is gross. Every place I've ever worked has a break room and kitchenette. |
| Or work somewhere where people have too much work to do to clip their nails. I pay all of our bills and balance our checkbook at work. I also plan/book most of our travel at work, and of course there is DCUM. |
| Annoying. I also hate hate hate people who do this ON AIRPLANES. I've been on two recent flights across from women painting their nails -- the fumes! So annoying. |
| If she's in the next cube over, how can you tell that she's putting on make-up, let alone be grossed out by it? |
|
Clipping nails is gross and so is brushing your hair if it's really long and a lot of it falls out. I hate when women run their hands repeatedly through their hair on the metro. No, i don't want your hair all over me, thank you.
Putting on a full face of make up at work is not gross but it is unprofessional. They are not paying you to groom yourself. They are paying you yo work. Reapplying your powder and lipstick is fine. |
| The admin in our office flat irons her hair. At the front desk. Smells like a cheap beauty parlor. |
OP here. Not a talking about a touch up, all her makeup. Foundation etc. |
Op here. Cube wall is only chest high. I am not talking about putting on powder or lipstick. I am talking about going from barefaced to fully made up. She should do this at home or in the bathroom. I find it unprofessional. |
Perhaps, but it's not gross. You are over dramatic. |
Who cares? Are you her boss? Is she getting her work done? It's reasonable to allow her a personal time during the day. By law she gets 15 min every 4 hours. |
