LEGOS - what do you store them in?

I'm talking about the little ones that you can't see underfoot. My son is getting a larger amount of them and I need a place to put them in.

My friend had tons of sets that she would store in ziploc bags along with their instructions and the completed picture on the cover of the box. She stored the bags in a clear plastic shoe box in her toy closet. My son isn't into them yet, but this is how we'll do it to keep all the parts together and make trading sets with friends easier.

My father built us a custom box with special compartments for the different types of blocks - much like a tackle box.

We used those cylindrical buckets that popcorn comes in at the holidays.
