Well, I know of course this is old news. But looking back just 20 years ago, and thinking about how people are actually debating whether this plague was brought on by the lord as a punishment. That's when I became an Atheist. |

Are you referring to the bubonic plague? Are you drunk? Everyone knows there are stupid priests, and even more rigid and backward religious systems. It shouldn't stop you from believing in a power of your choosing, OP. |

When the Catholic Church very publicly came out denouncing the drugs and precautions needed to prevent the wide scale spread of AIDs because of its position that homosexuality is a sin, I think it's fine to question religion altogether. |

| Church haters are getting boring. Catholics created the first hospitals, widespread charities and universities in the western world. I'm not a Catholic. I disagree with many of their doctrines but the church's contributions to human society can hardly be overstated. |
