I need a list of brands and items, preferably both a drugstore list and a department-store list.
I keep looking online, and what I find are a bunch of "tips for older skin," which would require me to read tons of labels and remember which ingredients are best, or product tests of like one item (makeup base). I just want to know what to buy! Has anyone seen such a list? |

It really depends on what your skin is like now, though. Circles under the eyes? Wrinkles? Crepey neck? Age spots? Dullness? Why don't you go to a cosmetics counter and get some advice? Then you can pick and choose from department store and drug store items.
I personally think less is more, and that you want some current advice to keep styles current. We all know the women with the 80s faces. Moisturizer and eye cream of choice. Then foundation. I like Clinique Almost Powder Makeup. https://www.clinique.com/product/1599/47832/makeup/foundations/almost-powder-makeup#/shade/01-Fair Lines around lips let lipstick bleed out onto skin and look awful. There are lip primers available. Black mascara on top lashes only and follow with a curler. I like Lancome or Neutrogena mascaras. They don't hurt my eyes. A soft brow pencil close to your natural color, over your natural eyebrows. Keep them professionally waxed/shaped. I still like Clinique. Neutral/rose colored blush. Neutral eyeshadow. |
