Has anyone stimmed with NO suppression?

Doing an antagonist protocol with no birth control, no patches, no Lupron - just right into stims on Day 2 or 3.... I was oversuppressed last time on 11 days of BCP... but nervous that this new protocol will result in follicles of different sizes because they all haven't been quieted down... any one have experience with this protocol?

Yes, I was over-suppressed too on my first round. I definitely produced more follicles on the second round, but didn't have a better ultimate result. But I'm old.

yes. i did a natural start of whatever the name of that is for my 3rd IVF. no suppression whatsoever, just stemming starting day 4 or so. that was my most successful cycle in the terms yield (BFN nevertheless).

I did a no suppression cycle and got a lead follicle pretty fast. It became way to far ahead of the others and the cycle was cancelled. Estrogen primiing protocol seems to be a good middle ground. It's not as heavy handed as BCP, but does the job of keeping follicles coordinated.

I did no suppression cycles first, and had a much better quantity than subsequent suppression cycles. Unfortunately they all had bad ultimate results, but I am also old.

When people are saying "old," what age range are we talking about? I just did a cycle with BCP and got a good number of eggs but not a single viable embryo. Wondering where to go from here. I'm almost 40.

Yes I did it for my first ivf and it didn't work well. I had AFC of 30, so a lot of follies to recruit. we got a fair number of eggs but not as many mature as I thought we should given AFC. Did a day 3 transfer of 2 that failed with nothing to freeze. Next cycle we did long agonist with bcp and lupron and it worked MUCH better: successful! plus three frozen day 5s. I did get OHSS though.

I've done 4 cycles. 3 were no suppression, one was estrogen priming. Estrogen priming (which was the second cycle) was by far the worst - had to stim for something like 14-15 days, only 4 retrieved and those were of poor quality - only one fertilized. The other cycles were better - stimmed much faster (8 days on the last two) and much better fertilization/blast rate. I've never had any issues with a lead follicle, fortunately. I am 32, but have DOR.

I did all of my cycles without suppression because I can't take birth control (blood clotting disorder). There was uneven growth and the RE decided to sacrifice the lead follicle to let others grow, but she didn't seem too concerned about it and it did ultimately work. Best of luck to you!

I was 41. Ultimately moved on to DE, which was successful.

I never did suppression before unless I took BCPs to help me time ideal timing. But usually just day 2 of period start with antagonist. I was 31 the first time, 36 the second time. Pregnant with my third IVF baby.

I was 41 and did three stim cycles with no suppression. I was a low responder, and we always got very few eggs and some follicles did not sync up, but I did get pregnant and deliver a healthy baby.

I did an estrogen priming protocol on my second IVF because I was over suppressed the first time. The second cycle was successful.

So this is OP with an update, sure enough with no suppression and 4 days into stims I already have one big lead follicle and a bunch of unmeasurable follicles... they are thinking they will end up sacrificing the lead and see what happens with the rest (in lieu of cancelling the cycle).... will keep you all posted.
