We used to be able to find them everywhere?? Thanks in advance!

are you talking about the Horizion milk that does not need to be refrigerated? I know you can get it at whole foods and costco.

My Giant has them, in the health food section (unrefrigerated).

OP here... No, I'm actually referring to the ones you refrigerate. Schools offer it during lunch but my child takes her lunch and the school will refrigerate her milk..

I can't find it anywhere. I remember when you could even get it at your local grocery store!

Thanks!

why not a little thermos or even water bottle to pour regular milk in? My son uses the Foogo straw bottle.

They have organic boxed milk in the organic section and I was also surprised to find giant brand boxed milk in the baking aisle- near the evaporated milk and concentrated milk. The giant brand is much cheaper.

We're going to try using a thermos to cut down on packaging/waste.

Yeah, you'd save hundreds of dollars over the course of the school year by filling a reusable container from your regular carton of milk. The Container Store sells great non-leaking ones that they call something like "reusable juice boxes." They're lunchbox size, cost about $3, can go in the dishwasher, and are made of polypropylene, which is very safe (no BPA).

I hate to sound pollyanna-ish, but think of all the waste that we wouldn't create if every child switched to a reusable milk container.

I understand not wanting to waste but i would like to buy these too,,,Im lactose intolerate and cannot drink ( much ) milk but i do like to keep some on hand but quarts and even pints go to waste but half pint cartons would not

By the way...you do not have the school refrigerate the milk.
When I buy the flavored milk in the little cartons (regular milk i pour in the thermos) and when i buy the small yogurts...i put them in the freezer...take one out ...put it in dd's lunchbox....thaws by lunchtime and is still cold....
