Desperately seeking childcare for my 15 month old. We live near Petworth, DC. Any recommendations that have immediate openings? Willing to travel to Takoma Park or Silver Spring.

I used to run a daycare from my home but all of the kids that I watched have now moved on to preschool. As I was pregnant with my third child I did not add any other children to my daycare. Now that I am up and moving after my son's birth I am looking to do some childcare from my home. I have a 4 year old daughter and a 2 1\2 year old daughter. My son is just over a month old now and is quite a pleasant and easy baby to care for. I have excellent references who would be willing to speak with those interested at any time. I charge $12 an hour or would be willing to charge my previous rate of $150 dollars a week for part-time care (up to 20 hours) or $250 a week for full time care if your child is to be watched weekly. I also have sibling rates. I am only looking to add one child or one set of siblings to my own brood so it would be more of a nanny-share situation than a daycare.

We really like Easter Seals in downtown SS -- I don't think they have any toddler openings but I think the waitlist is very short compared to most other high quality centers.

I have am college certified in Early Childhood Education and I have been providing child care in licensed daycare centers in Canada for 18 yrs. and from my home for the past 2.5yrs.
