Bat Mitzvah Venue

Anonymous
My daughter's Bat Mitzvah is in February, and I hate to say it, but we have not found a venue. We are in Northern VA, and are looking for something close by that can fit 125 people or so. Any suggestions??

My oldest is 8, and I will eventually be in the market for bar / bat mitzvah venues.

I'll be interested to here what suggestions you get.

I have not been to any bar / bat mitzvahs around here yet. But I got married at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens. I'm sure it would be a nice bar mitzvah but maybe that's over the top - idk!!!

Consider the air and space museum in Va - I think you can rent it out but idk how much it costs.

I assume you have considered and rejected Maggiano's?

I had my wedding reception at the Clarendon Ballroom, and it seems like they do a ton of bar / bat mitzvahs there. I highly recommend it!

I would recommend DD's venue, except Clydes in Tysons is closed. Meadowlark is nice, but IMHO pricey. It really depends on the budget.

Our Budget was 15K of the party, and Clydes fit right in.

2491 was over budget, Meadowlark would have been (plus, it was booked up for the date). Meadowlark is probably not a problem (but not nice) in Feb.

You can't just do it at the temple?

This may be too far for your guests but Pinstripes in either Bethesda or Feorgetown is worth checking out.

American Legion in Fairfax

George Mason student center

Vienna Teen Center or McLean Firehouse, but I think they might be too small

It really depends on how many people you plan to invite and your budget. Restaurants are a one stop shop whereas with other venues, you'll need to rent tables, chairs, silverware, china etc in addition to the catering.
