Travel Nurse

Empty nester now. I've been thinking about picking up travel assignments 8-12 weeks. Any RNs out there who've done travel nursing? Pros and Cons?

Read this just yesterday. Not sure that living in a dorm in Morgantown, WV is my idea of fun empty nesting but I might consider a short stint it if the price was right!

Wow! Interesting article. I'll definitely share with the other nurses especially the younger, single ones.

When we signed up for life insurance, the nurse who came to give us a check up (and possibly draw some blood... I forget) was very happy to have switched to the traveling lifestyle from the ER. She was very bubbly and chatty, so I would have to agree that it suited her!

Sounds good but there's no amount of money they could pay me to drink and bathe WV water or inhale coal infused atmosphere. Just no.
