Silence is Deafening

I guess everyone is on vacation?

No mentions of
  • AG Holder's investigation of CIA interrogators

  • New National Debt Numbers - astounding when you consider that the $400B in Bush's last year was lambasted.

  • Declining Poll Numbers

  • Increased opposition and less support for Heath Care proposals

  • Bernanke's second term

  • Release of convicted terrorist al-Megrahi by the UK to Lybia

  • Town hall meetings

  • The VA's End of Life counseling

  • Holder -- I, for one, am sick and tired of only the lowest guys on the totem pole being investigated. Holder should do the opposite and start at the top -- with Cheney.

Debt -- not to be pedantic, oh ok, to be pedantic, the numbers were for the budget deficit which is separate from the national debt. It sucks to have such a deficit, but it's the price for economic recovery. It would have been nice for Obama to have had the luxury Bush had and begin his term with record surpluses. Unfortunately, thanks to Bush's economic policies, Obama started with record deficits and has to spend us out of the hole Bush put us in.

Poll numbers -- When your numbers are as high as Obama's were, there is only one way to go. The numbers are still good and certainly better than Mr. 24 Percent's numbers.

Health care -- Dems dropped the ball on this one and Republicans have raised lying to new levels. Apparently, scaring old people is the new conservatism.

    Bernanke -- does anyone care?

al-Megrahi -- the guy was innocent anyway.

Town hall meetings -- Yeah, let's all carry guns and yell "Hitler". It's not your father's Republican party any more.

End of Life counseling -- Leave it to Republicans draw their line in the sand at living wills. No need to let individuals decide their own fates. As the Terri Schiavo case showed, Republicans will make those decisions for us.

What will liberals do in a few years or so when they can no longer resort to blaming Bush and Cheney for everything?? Regardless of whether the problems are inherited or not, take ownership, prove yourselves by solving them (without creating different problems)and by all means stop whining!! Only time will tell and the clock is ticking...

Wait, it isn't political, but what about how the world is ending with H1N1 this winter???

You mean like the conservatives who continue to blame Clinton for everything even 8 years later? Ha ha!

That article is from 2001. A lot of new evidence has emerged since then. Read this article for instance:

OP, why even bother to post something like this on DCUM. The kool-aid drinkers will never turn on Dear Leader.

There is no Kool-Aid left after 8 years of Bush; you drank it all.

But then OP might have sit and stew in her own anxiety without having enraged liberals to distract her from her miserable daily existence. No, better to needlessly antagonize DCUMers (pp's "Dear Leader" comment is a good example) in order to keep things churning...

What will conservatives do if our country improves. Will you become Democrats?

No, they will just find something else to complain about. When the stock market was going down, the conservatives blamed it all on Obama and even went around with charts trying to show that the market went down whenever he gave a speech (ignoring all other coincidental news). Now that the market has recovered, they are strangely silent about it. Personally, I never considered the stock market to be a sufficient indicator of the state of the economy. But, those who did should at least be consistent.

Yes. They also complain about deficits. Magically that goes away when they are in office. By my count, almost all of our national debt prior to Obama was put into place by Republicans.
