Other than Whole Foods, which has now pissed me off.
|
| I really like Mom's (My ORganic Market) for everything besides fresh meat and fruits/vegetables. They have a great selection, and I find that their prices are cheaper on the same items. Plus, they do take coupons when you can find them (i.e. Amy's, Organic Valley, Stoneyfield Farms, etc.) |
| I recently switched to Yes Organic Market from Whole Foods, they have locations (that i know of) in Adams Morgan and 14th and U. Tiny but a nice selection. I also hit up the local farmers markets on the weekends. |
I love MOM's too, but I am going out of my way to shop at Whole Foods now and support them.
|
| Farmers markets only and then Wegman's in the winter for a combo of conventional and organic foods. |
Me too! |
Because? |
Because the Whole Foods CEO doesn't support health care reform. |
I wouldn't say he does not support health care reform. He published an editorial and he is not in support of the public plan, and a lot of Whole Foods customers are very liberal and their views on reform are counter to his views. |
He's against more than just the public plan. Health care reform gets rid of his high deductible plan and ERISA protections as well. He may understand big business very well, but he doesn't understand much about health care delivery. |
| You are going to probably have to boycott a lot more stores as well. The majority of America is not in support of a public plan, this is why the issue is now DOA. It's not going anywhere, it is over. Move on. |

The public option is only a small part of the overall health care plan proposal. The majority of Americans support health care reform in general and most think the government has to do it. |
| I second Roots! I go to the one in Olney. I recently discovered the place and absolutely love it! |
agree! best produce ever - fresh, hearty, clean (not gritty) expensive but worth it |
