Chaotic kindergarten pick up and drop off-- Will it be like this all year?

New Oyster parent. Drop-off the first day was a madhouse, pick-up even crazier. This morning was nearly as big a cattle call. Is it like this all year?

So then it will always be like this? It seems that a misplaced child would be easy in this sort of situation... or is it just normal?

Ask around, ask parents of first graders and returning kindergartners if last year was different. Pickup and dropoff at Oyster was wild when my DC was there! DC loved it.

The first few days are always crazy because of all the parents of new kids hanging around to make sure everything's OK, and parents of returning kids hanging around catching up. It will settle down soon.
