Changing doctors within shady grove

Anonymous
hello,
after having gone thro' 3 failed IVFs (and 5 failed IUIs) we want a second opinion from dr. chang or dr. sagoskin at rockville. we currently work with one of the drs. at the annandale office. but we feel that we need an aggressive protocol, which perhaps the rockville drs. may be willing to try.
any suggestions on how to go about? do you tell your current RE? even if one of the rockville drs. becomes our primary RE, we'll still be going to annandale for monitoring etc, as that's what's closest to us.
has anyone changed drs. within shady grove?
please share your experience.
thanks!

how do you know that dr. chang or dr. sagoskin will be more aggressive?

i know thro' other patients that they have tried protocols that SG usually doesn't.

Dr. Chang is my doctor at Shady Grove and I absolutely adore him. We had IVF done in 06 and had a healthy baby boy in 07. We are currently going through a protocol now for our FET. Fingers crossed it will work again. I highly recommend Dr. Chang...he is one of the best!

Is changing clinics an option? After 3 failed attempts, if possible I'd go somewhere else. I had 4 failed at SG (switched drs between 3 and 4) then went to Cornell. I had success on my 1st cycle at Cornell.

14.33, i am interested in knowing how you changed the drs within sg.

how did you go about it? did you tell your RE that you are looking for an opinion with another RE at SG and may switch over to him? or did you simply set up an apptment with the other RE? did the other RE not want to know why you wanted to consult him?

for now, changing the clinic is not an option altho' we may consider it next year depending on the insurance.

please share your experience. thanks so much!
