Our school starts in 3rd grade but it seems like many families convince them to allow 2nd grade siblings, too. At 3rd and 4th grade, the race is only a 2k; 3k for 5th and 6th; and 4K for 7th and 8th, I think. Our school practices twice per week with runs on local trails.
