Comotomo bottles?

Anonymous
Anyone have any experience with these? I like the idea of them, since they're silicone, but wondering about nipple flow (newborn), easiness of cleaning, durability, etc.
Thanks!

I wanted to try them but heard from many friends that the silicone collects any fiber in your home. We have a pet and having bottles constantly covered in dog hair, fibers from the rug, etc. would have annoyed me. It's not so much of an issue when they are little but become a big issue when they are moving around more.

We have and love them - have found the random stray hair stuck to them, but nothing excessive. They never leak, are easy to clean, and the kid switches seamlessly between them and breast.

I love them. The silicone is not an issue - when drying, they are on a rack in the kitchen where there's not really any fibers around. Otherwise I put a cap on them to prevent that issue. The smaller 5 oz bottles all have a slow flow nipple that has worked really well for our infant. They are easy to clean, to transfer liquids, and DS has no problem switching between nursing and the bottles.

I also loved them. Never had an issue with the silicone. We washed in the dishwasher.

Those are great bottles. We have a dog and a long haired cat and never had a fiber problem. They do not leak and so easy to wash, even by hand. I loved that no plastic touched the liquid.

We didn't use the small ones. We got a few larger ones right away and ordered slow nipples for the beginning.

We used both Comotomo and Avent bottles from birth. We ditched the Comotomos by six months. A couple reasons: DD started to play with, squeeze, and chew on the base and we had a squirting mess with every feeding. This didn't happen with the hard Avent bottles. Also, they started to become discolored and hold in odors. We are diligent about washing bottles thoroughly in hot water and not letting empty bottles sit around after feedings.
