Trump Says If Congress Can't Fix DACA, He Will

Trump just tweeted that if Congress doesn't act on DACA he will revisit the issue in six months.

Problem is, JeffBo in his gleeful announcement earlier today, proclaimed that only Congress has the power to fix this issue. But now the president is saying jk, I can take care of it later, all Sessions' legal mumbo jumbo and constitutional nonsense doesn't apply to me, I'm president. It's impossible to keep up with the confusing absurdities and contradictions coming out of this administration.

Meanwhile, the dreamers (or as JeffBo calls them "illegal aliens") and their families, schools, and employers are left in limbo without a second thought.

Congress now has 6 months to legalize DACA (something the Obama Administration was unable to do). If they can't, I will revisit this issue!

Well, Sessions was lying when he said DACA was unconstitutional. I guess Trump could just write a new EO exactly like the old EO in March.

I agree that this gives Dreamers less certainty rather than more. Maybe Ryan will do something as Speaker and actually pass some sort of immigration reform.

President Trump said he would REVISIT the issue. He didn’t say he would FIX it (as your title says). Big difference. Revisit MIGHT mean extending DACA for another 6 months. Revisit could mean a lot of things.

Oh please. Did you not hear Sessions today? JeffBo said the president has no authority to act in this area. There can be no revisiting, Sesisons made that clear.

Wait... so he wants DACA to be "legal" so these people won't ever have to fear deportation? I'm very confused. He seems to keep flip flopping and also has no clue as to what "power" he has or doesn't have. And he seems to keep contradicting people in his administration. No wonder the IC and military largely ignore him.
