Has anyone used the CARES harness instead of a car seat on a plane ride?

Our daughter is 15 months old, and just makes the criteria of size. I'm wondering if the CARES harness will be as comfortable for her as her car seat, even though CARES would obviously be more convenient for us. Any opinions?

We have, and DC was much happier (but then he always hated his car seat).

We used it for our 14/15 month old DS. It was a LOT easier than carrying on the car seat, and he actually liked the 5 point harness. But also, we didn't keep him in it the whole flight, and it really isn't good for napping, but overall, I thought it was very useful.

Yes, I think the nap is the thing. Once DD was no longer in the car seat, and in the CARES instead, she didn't sleep on the plane anymore. But I was never sure if that was because of the harness or just because she was getting older.

14:58 PP here - my DS actually did fall asleep in the CARES, it was just we had to carefully take him out because he was all slumped over (I ended up laying him across my lap and his seat). Again, he was pretty young and has always liked a good nap, although he was never really a carseat napper.
